So, just thought you'd be interested in knowing that 70% ethanol is the primary disinfectant used in many cell culture laboratories ;-)

Hope Europe's treatin' ya well (as your blog seems to suggest)! And yes, the previous post is quite interesting indeed.

Hey man,

I just started to try polyphasic sleeping, like 5 hours ago.

I have been reading about polyphasic sleeping for a bit now and had a few questions.
1 - I was wondering if you had any recommendations?
2 - How long did it take you to get over the initial 'hump' where you were constantly exhausted?
3 - Is it worth it?

Dreaming is actually probably a good sign; normally REM sleep doesn't start until after you've cycled through all the other phases of sleeping, so that means your body is actually expecting the shortened sleep time. Congrats! ^_^

I've had a similar experience with hypnagogia. Interesting to learn it has a name. I use it to fall asleep sometimes. But I did not notice that it leads to REM sleep. I'll try to notice next time.
It also seems that half dreaming, whether it is during falling asleep or because of sleep deprivation, brings some benefits of REM sleep itself.
